These Terms govern access to and use of the Vort website and product ("Vort", "the Services", "we", "us") by the organisation on whose behalf you use them ("Customer", "you"). By creating an account, signing an Order Form or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and, where personal data in Customer Data is processed, the Data Processing Addendum.
Vort is an AI-native sourcing tool for recruiters and hiring teams. It turns a plain-language brief into a shortlist of matched candidates, with the reasoning behind each match and contact details, delivered to your ATS or workflow.
You must be 18 or older and authorised to bind your organisation. Each seat is for one named individual and may not be shared, pooled or used through a generic account. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for all activity under your account and for your users' compliance with these Terms.
Paid use of Vort is governed by an order form or online checkout ("Order Form") that states the plan, seats, usage limits, fees and subscription term. Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except as expressly stated in the Order Form or required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods equal to the initial term unless either party gives notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the end of the current term. Vort may change fees for a renewal term on at least 30 days' notice.
Vort may suspend the Services for non-payment that is not cured within 10 days of notice. Trial and free use is provided as-is, may be limited or withdrawn at any time, and carries no service commitment. If an Order Form conflicts with these Terms, the Order Form governs for that subscription.
You will not, and will not permit anyone to:
Vort surfaces candidate information compiled from publicly available sources and enriches it with contact details obtained from third-party providers. We do not access or store data behind login walls. Candidates may exercise their data-subject rights through our consent portal, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for how you use that information, including for:
If Vort notifies you that a candidate has exercised a right of erasure or objection, you will delete that candidate's data from your own systems, including any ATS, without undue delay.
You will use the Services and Output only for your own internal recruiting, and not for background checks, consumer reports, credit, insurance or tenancy decisions, marketing or sales outreach, list building or resale.
Customer Data. As between the parties, you own the briefs, ATS data and other content you provide ("Customer Data"). You grant Vort a non-exclusive licence to host, process and use Customer Data to provide, secure, support and improve the Services.
Service Data and the Services. Vort owns the Services, the software, the candidate database and enrichment data ("Service Data"), the models, the brand and design system, and all improvements to them.
Output. Vort grants you a licence to use the shortlists, profiles and explanations the Services generate ("Output") for your internal recruiting during the subscription term.
Usage and aggregated data. Vort may use data about how the Services are used, and Customer Data in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you or any individual, to operate, benchmark and improve the Services, during and after the term. Vort does not use Customer Data to train models made available to other customers in a way that would disclose Customer Data.
Each party will comply with applicable data protection law. For personal data in Customer Data, you are the controller and Vort is the processor, and the Vort Data Processing Addendum forms part of these Terms. For Service Data, Vort is an independent controller and processes it as described in the Privacy Policy. Vort will provide its current list of sub-processors on request by email to hey@vort-sourcing.com, and will give notice of changes as set out in the DPA.
Each party will protect the other's non-public information with at least reasonable care, use it only to perform under these Terms, and not disclose it except to personnel and advisers bound by equivalent obligations. These obligations last for three years after the term ends, and indefinitely for trade secrets. Pricing and the terms of any Order Form are Vort's confidential information. Information that is public, already known to the recipient, independently developed or lawfully received from a third party is not confidential.
Vort may identify you as a Vort customer, including by displaying your name and logo on the Vort website, in customer lists and in sales and marketing materials, in each case in accordance with any reasonable brand guidelines you provide. This right applies to customers on a paid plan and ends when your subscription ends. You may withdraw this permission at any time by written notice to hey@vort-sourcing.com, and Vort will remove your name and logo from future materials within 10 business days. Any press release, case study or quote attributed to you requires your prior written approval.
The Services and Output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Output is generated by AI and statistical inference and is probabilistic: it may be incomplete, out of date, inaccurate or biased. Contact details are compiled from third-party sources and are not guaranteed to be accurate or current. Output is not a recommendation that any individual is suitable or eligible for employment, and must not be used as the sole basis for any employment decision. Use Vort as a tool that augments your own judgement, not as a replacement for it.
Vort does not provide legal advice. You are responsible for determining that your use of the Services is lawful in each jurisdiction where you operate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
These limits do not apply to a party's indemnification obligations, breach of confidentiality, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Vort and its officers, employees and contractors from and against any third-party claim, and the resulting losses, damages, fines, costs and reasonable legal fees, arising out of: (a) your use of the Services or Output in breach of these Terms or applicable law; (b) your contact with, or treatment of, any candidate; (c) your hiring or employment decisions; or (d) Customer Data. Vort will promptly notify you of any such claim and give you control of the defence, provided that no settlement imposes obligations on Vort without Vort's written consent.
Either party may terminate for material breach that is not cured within 30 days of notice. Vort may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using Vort at any time; fees already paid for the current term remain due and are not refunded unless the Order Form says otherwise.
On termination, Vort will make Customer Data available for export for 30 days and then delete it within a further 30 days, except for copies in routine backups (deleted in the ordinary cycle), aggregated or de-identified data, and data we are required by law to retain. Sections 06 to 12 and 14 to 15 survive termination.
You grant Vort a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use any suggestions or feedback about the Services for any purpose, without obligation.
Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except for payment obligations.
You may not assign these Terms without Vort's consent. Vort may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Vort may update these Terms by posting a new version and, for material changes, giving at least 30 days' notice by email. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. Changes do not apply retroactively to a signed Order Form during its current term.
These Terms, the Order Form, the DPA and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between the parties about the Services and supersede any prior terms. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A waiver is effective only in writing.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
